‘Would you believe it - I had some ostrich - yes ostrich for lunch. That was OK actually. Then this evening was the charity commission dinner here at the hotel restaurant. First came the soup - made from seaweed with added crab. 2nd came steak and chips with salad. 3rd came something like Pork twizzlers with salad - the others had shrimps, but someone had kindly told them I didn't like shrimps so they gave me the pork. 4th came a bowl of rice and veges. 5th came fresh pineapple for dessert, with green tea to follow up. This dinner has just finished and started at 5:00pm - too early for me after the ostrich and noodles at lunchtime.

Today I also bought to some Vietnamese tea and coffee to bring home. However, the charity commission had bought Don and I presents of vast quantities of tea and coffee to bring home!!! Brunei Airlines will need another plane to bring me home.

I don't know the e-mail situation at the next hotel in Ho Chi Minh city - hope I will be able to keep in touch.’
