We celebrated our 30th birthday recently. Apparent something of a record for a church coffee shop. Customers past and present joined with us for a hot drink and a slice of birthday cake. We were delighted that Hugh and Margaret Rodway, who were both involved in the early life of the cafe, were able to join us and cut the birthday cake.
Customers of the coffee shop like our friendly atmosphere and helpful staff who are all volunteers from the Chard area but not all from the Baptist Church. There is a Prayer Request Box for customers to put in prayers for people they know or for themselves and staff will include them in their prayer time before opening up.
