Faith and Film: Silence

On Sunday 6th May, from 5.30pm to 8.30pm, we will be watching "Silence". This is a film directed by Martin Scorsese, based upon Shusaku Endo's novel of the same name. Two Jesuit priests travel to Japan to locate their missing mentor. It is a film about the struggles of faith and the reality and effects of persecution. Join us as we watch the film and then discuss some of the themes raised.

 Sunday 23rd April from 6pm until 8pm Come and join us as we watch Ken Loach's award winning film "I, Daniel Blake" and then spend some time discussing how the themes relate to our journey of faith. This film follows Daniel Blake as he tries to navigate the UK benefits system. It is not necessarily a film you will enjoy watching but you will be challenged by it.
